چکیده

In the face of climate change, eco-dromedary seems to adapt meteorological constraints. This work compares skin forehead, hump, and axillary part two populations Algerian dromedaries, namely Sahraoui Targui. We worked on six young adult dromedaries sexes genders. removed from part; they were fixed in 10% formalin. After 48 hours fixation, different samples subjected stages histological techniques. Sections stained with hematoxylin-eosin. mounting slides, we proceeded microscopic observations calculations each layer thickness. The layers similar all body regions for populations. By comparing thickness populations, notice that male dromedary is thickest measures 0.0413±0.0222 cm, 0.9789±0.1397 2.8119±0.1266 cm epidermis, dermis, hypodermis, respectively. thinnest was found forehead Targui 0.0494±0.0095 0.2191±0.0536 0.3302±0.0835 variation parts between same population suggests an implication adaptation system climatic conditions.

Influence of Wet and Dry Season on Milk Composition of Dromedary Camels (Camelus dromedarius) from Tunisia

This study investigated the effect of season (wet and dry) on milk composition of the dromedary camel (Camelus dromedarius). Milk samples representing the wet and dry seasons were analyzed for total solids (TS), fat (F), solids-non-fat (SNF), ash, crude protein (CP), nitrogen soluble at pH 4.6 (SN), mineral content (MC) and casein fraction (CnF). Camel milk had higher (P

Fungal flora isolated from the skin of healthy dromedary camels (Camelus dromedarius)

Hair samples from 58 healthy camels were examined for the presence of saprophytic fungi. One -hundred and seventy-four samples were obtained from three different locations of dromedary camel's body. Several fungal specific media were used for isolating and identifying the saprophytes. Fungal isolates belonged to 15 genera. The most common in order of frequency were members of the genera Aspergi...
